ecology

floods, heat, flame, always

someone to blame, and is it

us, earth’s children, earth’s shame…

I.

fire and water,

hoofbeats, raise

the guard, man

empire’s walls,

cry the imminent

invasion.

II.

fire and water,

silence, scouts,

the invisible enemy,

we entered the

court, the empire is

us.

III.

fire and water,

freeways, suburbs,

speed, revenge is

hers, she’ll take us

back, oceans,

suns.
