Make a Commitment (easy – low impact)

Commit to making your next;

  • Vehicle an EV (hint, used EVs are much cheaper)
  • Hot water tank electric. (heat exchange models save more energy)
  • Furnace an electric heat pump. (can work at -25C)
  • Stove-top electric coil/ induction (improves poor indoor air quality)
  • Lawnmower an electric (or skip the lawn)
  • Vacation without flying (air travel is really bad)

  • Installing insulation or a heat pump for your house

Low-Cost Personal Actions

Switch to 100% LEDs for lighting (reduces energy lost to heat)

Combine trips to minimize driving.  Bike or walk for short trips.

Eco-Drive by accelerating and braking gently (eco-driving can save $1/day in fuel and 2.3Kg of CO2 emissions)

Eat less Beef – Purchase/eat Chicken or Pork instead (6x less GHG emissions or go meatless and save more money)
