Fighting Climate Change in the Valley

Many of the changes observed in the climate are unprecedented in thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years, and some of the changes already set in motion—such as continued sea level rise—are irreversible over hundreds to thousands of years.

Melting glaciers and sea ice are a clear indication of the exceptional reality of climate change today.

“Everyone must to do their job. Developed countries and emerging economies must contribute.”

Burning fossil fuels is the largest single cause of climate change. We must stop mining and burning fossil fuels in order to prevent further damage to our climate.

Start here to learn about our mission and how you can join to take action to fight climate change.  We do this by educating and motivating individuals, government leaders and businesses.  Join us, and volunteer to fight climate change, to multiply the impact we are having to positively shape our region and our future.   Now is the time for action.

We seek to Educate and Motivate people to respond to the real threat of climate change.  On this site you can discover resources for individual learning and action.  You can join us to participate as a volunteer to take on tasks that will allow Fraser Valley Climate Action to more effectively educate and motivate government and businesses to fight climate change.   Every task builds on the last, each volunteer empowers the next person and the next action.  We need “all hands on deck” and we need them now.  Taking action  builds hope in the face of what could be viewed as a hopeless and overwhelming crisis.

We are a grassroots collective of volunteers just ordinary people with hope, quietly working to make the world better for our friends neighbours and kids.   Join us, it’ll be fun.
